Dr. Frank Illuzzi is a veteran of emergency medicine and has most recently served as CMO and EVP of Quality and Medical Education for CityMD Urgent Care in NYC. He is the 2020 recipient of The Urgent Care Foundation's Quality and Safety Award; which recognizes an individual, organization or exhibitor for significant efforts that focus on improved quality and safety in the field of urgent care medicine.
Prior to joining CityMD, he was the Chairman of Emergency Medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, and held an academic appointment as Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Frank Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. During his tenure in hospital based care he served in numerous clinical, academic, and leadership roles.
Dr. Illuzzi is an active member of the UCA Antibiotic Stewardship Committee and active participant in the UCA summits on antibiotic stewardship and influenza, contributed to the UCF’s diabetes screening research study, and helped create CityMD’s postgraduate urgent care fellowship training program.
